BeastVan Overview

Please NOTE: As of 6/10/2021, this van is SOLD.

The van’s original owner wanted to build a luxury outdoor camper-van for a long time. When he finally got the chance, he went all out and built one using the best platform he could find–the full-size Ford Transit–along with the best components he could get his hands on.

During the process of converting the van, he also created this website.  The rest of the descriptions on this website (unless otherwise noted) were written by the original owner who sold the van to me.

The result is “Beast,” our ultimate gonzo home-away-from-home for adventure road trips from our basecamp just outside of Denver. Although I poured my heart and soul into constructing this amazing vehicle sparing no expense, I’ve decided to put it up for sale and take a rest from projects like this for a while. It will make someone a great outdoor adventure vehicle. Read on so learn more about this awesome dream campervan…

Interior Layout

The two person second row seat from Freeman can be easily installed when you are traveling with guests, and then folded up when camped so there’s plenty of floor room and it’s easy to pass through the side door down the middle of the van.

When it’s just us two traveling, we take the Freeman seat out and put in the additional front countertop and cabinets so we have even more storage. One of the cabinets has a slide out trash can which is really convenient. The bench seat in the back has one 3-point seatbelt installed and I’m including another 2-point matching seatbelt that’s not installed.

When time for bed, we pull out the fold-out bench seat to make into the Queen Short bed (standard 75″ by 60″ RV-size bed with sheets widely available at RV stores and online). The custom-made all aluminum bed/bench seat platform is easy to operate and I can fold it out and back in easily by myself.

There’s a Samsung 40″ TV that I’ve mounted to a sturdy fold-away wall stand that’s mounted to the aluminum pillar that encloses wiring and the water lines for the shower.
